On Tuesday’s Houston Matters: Some Santa Fe High School parents are praising the district's decision to install metal detectors. Last night's vote comes just two days shy of the two month mark since the shooting that killed 10 people. We talk with a parent of a Santa Fe High School student about why they support the move, and we'll turn to a couple of security experts for their insight.

Then, News 88.7's Allison Lee looks into allegations from some volunteers at the border that migrants are not receiving enough food or medical care at government-run centers.

Also this hour: President Trump has rescinded Obama-era guidance on affirmative action in college admissions. We learn about Texas' history with affirmative action and what is in store for the future.

Plus: We revisit producer Joshua Zinn’s conversation with local Millennials as they talk about what makes their generation unique and why they're blamed for everything.

Then, we discuss addiction on college campuses and talk about a recent conference at the University of Houston and its program called Cougars in Recovery.
