The Astros swept the Rangers in a four-game series in Arlington this weekend — without Carlos Correa in the lineup — and improved their record to 42-25.

Meanwhile, the Golden State Warriors won their third NBA Championship in four years. And the NBA Players Association named James Harden its MVP (the league will announce its choice June 25). Plus, the Dynamo defeated Colorado 2-0 on Saturday, and former Houston Oilers quarterback Oliver Luck has been named chairman of the new reboot of the XFL.

Houston Matters discusses these and other developments in Houston sports with Jeff Balke, who writes for Houston Press and Houstonia Magazine and hosts a weekly Houston sports podcast.
