Expected Energy Demands This Summer Cause Statewide Concern

Rice economist Peter Hartley explains how current policies and the reliance on renewable energy are causing instability in the electricity grid.

The state’s largest power grid operator, ERCOT, is expecting record demand for electricity this summer. Now, a committee in Austin is considering the challenges of meeting that demand statewide.
