On April 12, 1990, Dr. Gail Gross and her husband received a phone call in the middle of the night. It was to let them know that their daughter, Dawn, had died. Nearly 18 years later, Dr. Gross says she wants to help others with their grief.

Her new book is The Only Way Out is Through: A Ten Step Journey From Grief to Wholeness. Houston Matters' Maggie Martin talks with Dr. Gross about her sudden loss as a mother, the impact Dawn's death had on her marriage, and how her family remembers Dawn today.
