It has been 15 months since our town hall was held discussing the relationship between Greater Houston law enforcement and the African-American community. We continue to explore that issue with Houston Police Chief Art Acevedo and Ashton P. Woods, human rights activist and founder of Black Lives Matter Houston.
We re-examine what's happened in our culture and politics nationwide and in Houston since our town hall. This discussion is part of a weeklong series of conversations in conjunction with Houston Public Media's Legacies initiative, in partnership with Greater Houston’s two historically black universities: Prairie View A&M and Texas Southern.
