From Rust Buckets To Hot Rods — Houstonians Share Memories Of Their First Cars

Whether it was a 1987 Chevy Celebrity, or a Hyundai Sonata that you drove until it started pouring out smoke, we all have fond memories of our first car.

We all have memories of our first car. Maybe it was a bright orange, 1979 Ford F100 pickup. Or a 1967 Volkswagen. Or maybe it was a Hyundai Sonata that you drove until it started pouring smoke, or a ’78 Pontiac Sunbird rust bucket that you paid less than a $100 for. Or maybe it was a 2006 Ford Mustang GT that you later rolled over, or an ’87 Chevy Celebrity.

Whatever your first car was, it was still a set of wheels that got you from place to place. Several Houstonians that we ran into at the 2018 Houston Auto Show share their fond memories of theirs.
