West Houston Association Joins Call For Flood Mitigation Funding

We talk with members of the West Houston Association about what flood mitigation projects they’d like to see happen and where funding would come from.

The West Houston Association has added another regional voice to call for federal, state, and local funding to be dedicated to future flood mitigation projects in the aftermath of Hurricane Harvey. The Association’s made up of a group of business leaders, engineers, and planners.

Chairman John Moody and executive director Auggie Campbell hope funds can be directed to projects that fund, among other things, home buyouts.

We talk with both of them about their suggested flood mitigation plans going forward and where funding for such projects should come from.
