How A Solar Eclipse Works

A scientist from the Lunar and Planetary Institute explains how a solar eclipse works.

On Monday (Aug. 21), a total solar eclipse will sweep across the United States. However, here in Houston, we’ll only see a partial eclipse.

But that wont stop people from heading outside (with their protective eye wear) to check it out.

We learn more about the eclipse from Andrew Shaner from the Lunar and Planetary Institute, which will host two simultaneous eclipse-watching events.
