An immigrant to Houston from Venezuela talks about her experiences here.

We meet Houstonian Mariana Torrealba-Prado, who is originally from Venezuela. She says there are so many Venezuelans in the Katy area they call it “Katy-zuela.” She talks about the differences between culture in Houston and her native country and talks about what she loves — and doesn’t love — about life here.

This segment is part of DiverseCity, a year-long initiative looking at what Houston's diversity really means for the city. We'll be examining how it connects or divides us and how it shapes the nation's fourth-largest city.
