Sunday, of course, is Super Bowl 50. The Carolina Panthers take on the Denver Broncos at Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara, Calif. But one year from today (Feb. 5, 2017), Houston's NRG Stadium will host the game. A delegation of Houston officials will attend this weekend's game to observe the event in preparation for Houston's turn next year.

One of them is Kevin Hoffman, executive director of the Harris County Sports and Convention Corporation. Earlier this week, he gave Houston Matters producer Michael Hagerty a tour of some of the upgrades happening at NRG one year prior to the big game.
