Maybe you’ve heard that phrase from a family member or a friend, or even a complete stranger, while visiting another part of the country — someone who, for some reason, has a negative impression of Houston, and feels it’s completely appropriate to express such a sentiment.

Italian food and wine blogger Jeremy Parzen has experienced this. He wrote about it, and he tells us why it bothers him so much when someone says that, on this edition of Houston Matters.
