On Sunday, Houston is hosting the United States Hispanic Chamber of Commerce's 2015 National Convention. The USHCC calls the two-day event the largest gathering of Hispanic business leaders in the country.

For entrepreneurs here in Houston, the event is an opportunity to make connections and grow their business. Houston's Hispanic Chamber of Commerce will be participating in this weekend's event.

Dr. Laura Murillo has led the chamber as its president and CEO since 2007.

Houston Matters' Maggie Martin sat down with Dr. Murillo ahead of the convention to discuss the past, present and future of Hispanic businesses in Houston. Dr. Murillo says there's been a steady growth of Hispanic businesses as Houston's Hispanic population continues to grow.
