Dr. Peter Hotez is one of four scientists whoâll serve as U.S. Science Envoys beginning this month. The program was created in 2009 as a way to demonstrate the United Statesâ commitment to science, technology and innovation as tools of diplomacy and economic growth.
Science Envoys advise the White House, the Department of State, and the scientific community about potential opportunities for cooperation.
Dr. Hotez spoke with Houston Mattersâ Maggie Martin about the responsibilities heâll take on in his new role.
