What Comic-Con is to comic book fans, Repticon is to reptile and exotic animal lovers.

Repticon is held in 23 states and 63 cities across the US. It's been around for more than a decade, but only in Houston for the last four. The venue for this year's event is the Pasadena Convention Center and Fairgrounds.

To give you a sense of what the event will be like, Houston Matters Edel Howlin visited a family that breeds and sell reptiles from their home in Katy.
