We've all heard someone say it. Maybe we've even been the one saying it. "Back in my day..." What comes next is usually a lament that implies things were better then in some way. But were they?

On this edition of Houston Matters it's your chance to channel your inner Grandpa Simpson. Tell us how things have changed in Houston – how things were back in your day – whether it's places, ideas, technology or people, and why you think that bygone era is better or worse.

Then, we discuss The Good, The Bad and The Ugly of this week's news with our panel of non-experts: Wayne Ashley is the author of the Texas Leftist blog, Maria Heg is an illustrator and organizer of Zine Fest Houston and Ty Mahany is a Houston-based comedian.

And we attend Craft Beer 101 with Kevin Floyd, owner of Houston's Hay Merchant.
