This past Thursday was trade deadline day in Major League Baseball – there was a dizzying array of major trades which, among other things, appear to have reinforced a long-developing changing of the guard in the American League, as two teams the Houston Astros will see a lot of in the coming seasons have risen to the top with what now appears to be absolutely dominant pitching. And neither franchise is in New York or Boston.
