An article has been making the rounds on social media lately, titled “You Never Leave Houston.”

It’s written by Houstonian Aboubacar Ndiaye. He arrived here from New York, expecting to simply add Houston to a long list of cities he’s lived in – just another stop along the way. But he fell in love with our city.

And now, as he prepares to move again to the colder climes of Chicago, he’s worried he may regret the decision, and knows he will never be able to truly leave Houston behind.
