You may not have heard of Episcopalian priest Father William “Bill” Miller, but he grew up close to The Heights, in Garden Oaks.

Recently he released his second book, “The Beer Drinker’s Guide to God: The Whole and Holy Truth About Lager, Loving, and Living.”

For a priest to choose a topic like God and alcohol, you’ve probably guessed that he’s not your average priest — and that’s possibly confirmed when you hear he currently resides in Hawaii, but owns a bar in Marfa, Texas, called Padre’s.

Father Bill recently visited Houston and sat down with Houston Matters’ Edel Howlin to discuss his latest writing endeavors.
