The Houston Astros saw an impressive seven-game winning streak snapped over the weekend by the Baltimore Orioles. Despite a pair of losses Saturday and Sunday, the Astros are no longer the worst team in the American League, and no longer on pace to collect 100 losses this year.

George Springer’s arrival has helped spark increased production from table-setters Jose Altuve and Dexter Fowler. The Astros have received strong starts from Dallas Keuchel and Collin McHugh, deepening a rotation behind Scott Feldman. It all has the Astros looking, at times, downright respectable. But has Major League Baseball noticed? We ask CultureMap Houston sports columnist MK Bower.
