We learn about the 10th annual Empty Bowls event, where potters and artists from around Houston make bowls, participants pay $25, pick a bowl to keep and are served a donated meal. Proceeds benefit the Houston Food Bank.

The event is Saturday, May 17, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Houston Center for Contemporary Craft, at 4848 Main Street.
