A lot can happen in a week. Some of it good. Some of it bad. Some of it downright ugly. When faced with oddities in the week’s Houston news, we turn to our panel of Houstonian non-experts to sort out the good, the bad, and the ugly of it all.

On today’s panel: Mark Bennett, a Houston-area criminal defense trial author and author of the “Defending People” blog; Stephanie Fisher, a Houston-area comedian who’s written for comedysceneinhouston.com; and Ty Mahany, a Houston-based comedian who’s appeared at Mango’s, the Trill Comedy Festival, and because it sounds more impressive when you list things in threes, he’s appeared occasionally in line at the bank.

We discuss: Culture Map Houston this week reported Austin-based Torchy’s Tacos is suing the Houston-based Texas Taco Company, claiming the three-outlet chain is ripping off some of Torchy’s recipes, menu designs and presentation styles; This website has listed Houston among the top 10 ugliest cities in the world; Harris County Treasurer Orlando Sanchez is chiding the Metro Transit Authority for rooting for local sports teams on it bus marquees.
