On this episode of Encore Houston, our longest yet, the Bach Society presents an oratorio that recounts the Biblical story of the Passion of Jesus Christ, with music by Handel and text by poet Barthold Heinrich Brockes. This particular rendition of the story includes not just the narrative of events, but also introspective commentary from the characters that comes between the major plot points.
