This week’s episode of Encore Houston takes us down to Central and South America with Aperio, Music of the Americas. In their concert “Xochiquetzal/Kukulkan,” the featured works draw inspiration largely from culture and religion, with a Colombian/Afro-Cuban divertimento, an homage to a Peruvian island, and two powerful gods from Central American mythology.
