Houstonians Keep Outspending Rest of Country in Back-To-School Shopping

This weekend is tax free holiday; parents spending less on electronics

Jeff Buhr, partner at Deloitte, says more than 70 percent of Houston parents say they will take advantage of the sales tax-free weekend for back-to-school shopping.

This Friday is the first day of the sales tax-free weekend, presenting an extra incentive for students and parents to get their back-to-school shopping done.

Consulting firm Deloitte recently released its annual back-to-school consumer study.
