Rice University's Glasscock School of Continuing Studies will offer its first boot camp for data analytics this fall.

It promises to teach part-time students the skills necessary to become data scientists or analysts.

These types of programs are growing fast across the country.

But can a $11,500, 24-week boot camp replace a four-year college education?
