StoryCorps organizers have said “…listening is an act of love”. In their StoryCorps interview, Rosalie Johnson Buggs and her daughters, Lauren and Shannon, epitomize that belief. Among the many topics they discuss is the importance of faith. These three ladies share their individual struggles trying to identify their own unique path to enlightenment and the rewards they’ve found.

Rosalie, Shannon and Lauren also relive several happy and sad days they’ve experienced. The descriptions are highlighted with laughter and tears. One special moment is when Shannon asks her mother, Rosalie, about miracles. Without hesitation, Rosalie recalls a special moment that occurred on the day of her mother’s death. This interview should provide their children and grandchildren special insight into these three interesting people.
