The following Houston-area schools will be closed Friday due to a winter storm bringing below-freezing temperatures into the region.

School Districts
Houston ISD
All HISD schools and offices will be closed Friday.
La Porte ISD
La Porte ISD will be closed Friday. All Friday evening UIL activities will proceed as planned.
Fort Bend ISD
All FBISD schools and facilities will be closed Friday.
Deer Park ISD
School is canceled for all DPISD schools tomorrow. Extracurricular activities will take place as scheduled.
Channelview ISD
Channelview ISD will be closed Friday. All UIL extracurricular events will still take place if the weather permits.
Klein ISD
Klein ISD is currently monitoring the weather and will communicate a decision regarding events and extracurricular activities for Friday and Saturday at a later time.
Conroe ISD
Conroe ISD cancelled after-school activities on Thursday and will be closed on Friday.
Spring Branch ISD
All Spring Branch ISD schools and offices will be closed on Friday.
Katy ISD
All Katy ISD campuses and District facilities will be closed Friday.
Tomball ISD
Tomball ISD is currently monitoring the weather and will communicate a decision regarding events and extracurricular activities for Friday and Saturday at a later time.
Montgomery ISD
Montgomery ISD cancelled after-school activities on Thursday and will be closed on Friday.
Livingston ISD
Livingston ISD will be closed on Friday.
Clear Creek ISD
CCISD will be closed Friday. The district will evaluate scheduled Friday evening activities and will update families on Friday.
Universities
University of Houston
University of Houston, including Univ. of Houston at Sugar Land and Univ. of Houston at Katy, will be closed Friday. UH expects to resume normal operations Saturday.
University of Houston-Downtown
UH-Downtown will be closed for all classes and operations.
University of Houston-Clear Lake
All classes are canceled.
Houston Community College
All classes at HCC will be canceled through Friday.
Rice University
All classes will be delivered remotely unless otherwise noted. Nonessential employees are asked to work remotely.
Texas Southern University
Texas Southern University will move to remote operations on Friday.
The dining hall at University Towers will be open for students.
University of St. Thomas
All classes are online.
Lone Star College
Lone Star College closed Thursday and will resume normal operations on Saturday.
