In January, Montgomery County’s Commissioners Court approved an update to the county’s thoroughfare plan, a guidepost of sorts for transportation projects, including a proposed extension of Woodlands Parkway to Texas 249.

However, a month after commissioners approved the plan, The Woodlands’ governing board unanimously passed a resolution opposing some of the projects.
