Is it possible to live in Houston without a car?

With the new car-sharing service Zipcar arriving in Houston, and the growth of ride-sharing services like Uber and Lyft, we explore the challenges and benefits of living without a car in Houston.

We talk with two residents who’ve been living car-free for a year or more. Houston Public Media’s Transportation Reporter Gail Delaughter will also join us to discuss the Zipcar program and why city officials are pushing for fewer cars on the road.

Plus: Parent blogging in Houston. Are there rules these moms and dads should follow when it comes to sharing information about their kids? How should they choose the products or companies they endorse? We talk with two parent bloggers about their rules, as well as the founder of a local blogging group and blogging conference.

And CultureMap Houston sports columnist MK Bower joins us to talk about the Rockets’ last two games of the regular season and a look ahead to the playoffs. And we’ll see how the Astros fared this weekend against their cross-state rivals, the Texas Rangers.
