Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick Calls For June Special Session After 3 Of His Priority Bills Fail In Texas House

Patrick made the call on Twitter, hours after bills related to social media content policies, lobbying by cities and mandating which school sports teams that transgender athletes can play on.

It’s unclear whether Abbott will concede to Patrick’s demand. An Abbott spokesperson did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
