Political discourse these days is tense at best and downright ugly at its worst. A recent CBS poll showed that Americans from across the political spectrum agree that civility has gradually been diminishing from political debates over the past few years, and some even suggest that the tone of these debates is encouraging violence, like the unfortunate shooting at the congressional baseball practice a couple of weeks ago.

To dig into the question of whether or not politics is inciting violence — and how we might be able to right the ship — we talk with Dr. John Huber, a psychology professor with Texas State University.
