With warm weather finally here, many Houstonians are enjoying the outdoors at one of Houston's premiere green spaces – Memorial Park. But the park might look markedly different in the next few years.

Earlier this month, the Houston City Council approved a plan for the overhaul of Memorial Park – its new master plan.

To learn more about what the plan entails, Michael Hagerty spoke with the Houston Chronicle's Mike Morris, who began with a refresher on why a new plan was called for.
