Houston Mayor Annise Parker joins us to field your questions on this edition of Houston Matters. Mayor Parker last joined us back in March. Since then, the Mayor and City Council have been busy. Council passed a $5.2 billion budget, as well as the Houston Equal Rights Ordinance (currently being challenged in court), and revised paid ride rules (although as of this weekend, Lyft, one of the two major new app-based, paid-ride services that moved into Houston, prompting the revisions, is threatening to leave unless a procedure for fingerprint-based background checks for drivers is changed).

We talk with Mayor Parker about the developments of recent months, and then welcome your questions about anything related to the City of Houston.
