On the last Monday of each month between now and election day, we’ll set aside some time to talk about some of the major developments in politics, on and off the campaign trail, in Houston and across Texas.

Today, we talk about: the indictment of Gov. Rick Perry and what it could mean for his possible presidential ambitions; candidates in the Texas governor’s race, Greg Abbott and Wendy Davis, are trading barbs over a number of issues, including sexual assault; and we check in on the lieutenant governor’s race between Senators Dan Patrick and Leticia van de Putte.

Our guests are: Paul Brace, the Clarence L. Carter Chair of Legal Studies in the Department of Political Science at Rice University and Dr. David Branham, an Associate Professor of political science at the University of Houston Downtown
