The White Oak to Buffalo Downtown trail connection is now open. The grand opening of the trail connection was Saturday, April 28, with a public ceremony hosted by Houston Mayor Sylvester Turner.
The connector is part of a series of projects by Bayou Greenways 2020, a public-private partnership between the nonprofit Houston Parks Board, the City of Houston, the Houston Parks and Recreation Department, and the Harris County Flood Control District, according to Culture Map Houston.
