While politicians in Washington continue to wrangle over potential immigration reforms, many undocumented immigrants in Greater Houston continue to live in uncertainty. And all that uncertainty can take a physical and mental toll.
Dr. Luz Garcini has been studying just that. She’s a postdoctoral fellow in Rice University's Department of Psychology.
She joins Houston Matters to discuss her survey on how living in the United States without proper documentation affects mental health needs of immigrants following the termination of DACA.
Garcini and her colleagues published a list of ten tips to help DREAMers protect their mental health.
