On Friday (Nov. 20, 2015), several community organizations will host the Asian American Pacific Islander (AAPI) Health Summit in Houston. The event is at the Rice BioScience Research Collaborative, located at 6500 Main Street.

The summit will focus specifically on the needs and challenges of Asian Americans in Houston. Organizers say Asian Americans are one of the fastest growing populations in the state, yet are often misunderstood or overlooked.

We discuss the health needs and challenges specific to providing health care to these communities with two guests: Cathy Phan, Health Initiatives Project Manager at the HOPE Clinic; and Koshy Thomas, founder and publisher of Voice of Asia News Group and HealthLine Magazine.
