The U.S. Supreme Court issued the last of its opinions for this term on Monday. Many of the High Court’s decisions this term carry big implications for the nation — and for the state of Texas in particular.

Among the highlights: the court determined bans on same-sex marriage were unconstitutional, that health care subsidies acquired via the federal exchange should continue, just like those acquired via state exchanges, and the nation’s highest court deemed a controversial drug used in executions could continue to be administered to death row inmates.

We talk with area constitutional law scholars about these and other major rulings and how they’ll impact our lives here in Houston. Our guests are: Jessica Mantel from the University of Houston Law Center, and Charles “Rocky” Rhodes and Josh Blackman from South Texas College of Law.
