A group that reports on healthcare in the state is calling for the creation of a plan that would cover the estimated one million low-income, uninsured Texans. That's one of several recommendations the Code Red Task Force published in a report earlier this month.

Steve Murdock chairs the task force. He's also professor of sociology at Rice University and Director of the Hobby Center for the Study of Texas.
