It can be a challenge for anyone, at times, to get around in Houston. It's all the more daunting for the blind or vision-impaired.

Today on Houston Matters, we explore some of the challenges and accommodations made for the vision-impaired in Greater Houston, with Donnie Gatlin from the Texas Department of Assistive and Rehabilitative Services, Carolyn Carman from the University of Houston's College of Optometry, and Katie McGowan from The Lighthouse of Houston, an organization dedicated to assisting the blind and visually impaired to live independently.
