You might be familiar with the concept of riffing on movies – whether it’s you and your friends making fun of a bad movie in your living room or via shows like Mystery Science Theater 3000.

But a Houston performance group is taking the concept a step further – not just mocking movies, but re-editing and reinterpreting them in a multi-media live show.

Houston Matters’ Michael Hagerty has more on BooTown’s current Benshi-style show, called My Last Action Feeling, and describes the challenges of performing live all the dialogue, sound effects and music of a movie.
