How accessible is Houston for the disabled? What services or processes are in place to ensure disabled Houstonians can get around? Is all of Houston up to the standards set by the Americans with Disabilities Act? And how do Houstonians without disabilities tend to treat those who are disabled?

We’ll hear from two disabled men who are also advocates for the city’s disabled community: Cornelius Booker is the Chair of the Houston Commission on Disabilities and a Disability Navigator for Houston’s Workforce Solutions; and Donald Whitehead was one of the Mayor’s Office for People With Disabilities Community Advocates of the Year for 2013.
