Last night, KUHF debuted a new public radio special entitled Rising Seas. Itâs part of a series of energy programs called BURN, and the production takes an in-depth look at the potentially devastating impact of sea-level rise along the Gulf Coast, and for two major American cities â Miami and New York. Houston Matters will give way on Wednesday for a re-broadcast of the program, hosted by longtime public radio reporter and host Alex Chadwick. On todayâs Houston Matters, weâll talk with Chadwick about what heâs learned about sea-level rise. Then, weâll discuss the impact of it on Galveston with two local researchers.
Also this hour: getting married in Houston can be a potentially complicated and expensive proposition. To get an inside view of what it takes to plan and execute a Greater Houston wedding, Houston Matters’ Michael Hagerty visits wedding planner Nick Serna from Houston’s Elite Eventz.
Plus: Something will happen in the coming days that may not happen again for a long, long, looooong time. We learn about Thanksgivukkah.
