Houston-based Clean Line Energy Partners has turned to Missouri's former governor for help in reviving a project.

The former governor Jay Nixon will argue at the Missouri Supreme Court that utility regulators *that he appointed* wrongly rejected plans for a renewable-energy line stretching from Kansas to Missouri.

Nixon will argue for Clean Line Energy just days after the U.S. Department of Energy terminated a partnership with the company to build a different power line.
