A bounty hunter shot and killed a man in a west Harris County apartment complex, according to the sheriff’s office

The unidentified bounty hunter shot and killed a 24-year-old man in a vehicle with a woman and baby in the car, Gonzalez said.

Authorities say a man suspected of fatally stabbing his two children in Pasadena has been hospitalized after police found him with a self-inflicted gunshot wound in his car.

A bounty hunter shot and killed a man in a west Harris County apartment complex Monday night, the Harris County Sheriff’s Office said.

The bounty hunter, whose name has not been released, located an unidentified 24-year-old man wanted for an out-of-county felony domestic violence offense about 7 p.m. Monday night at the Park Falls apartments, according to Sheriff Ed Gonzalez. That’s when the man tried to flee in a car with a woman and baby in tow, Gonzalez said.

The driver pulled up to the complex’s gate — which was locked — and the bounty hunter blocked him in with his own vehicle, according to the sheriff. The bounty hunter then exited and pointed a gun at the driver, and when the driver put the car in reverse and approached, the bounty hunter opened fire and shot the man, Gonzalez said.

The sheriff’s office said the 24-year-old man was confirmed dead at the scene. It was not clear whether the other passengers were injured.

The case will be referred to a Harris County grand jury, and the investigation is ongoing, Gonzalez said.
