A Tale of Two Ports: Houston, Hamburg, and the Challenges of Global Trade

Germany is now Houston's seventh-largest foreign trading partner, with combined exports and imports at nearly $10 billion a year and rising. Hamburg is the home of Germany's largest port, while the Port of Houston is the largest in Texas — and second largest in the United States.
