WATCH: Ice Dancing Houston Teens Prepare For U.S. Figure Skating Championships

Two Texas teens just got their first big break: qualifying for the U.S. Figure Skating Championships.

After more than a decade of training as single’s competitors, Vanessa Pham and Jonathan Rogers were paired together about a year ago. Since then, they’ve been training as an ice dancing duo under the guidance of their coach, two-time Winter Olympian Roman Zaretsky.

The 2019 U.S. Figure Skating Championships take place January 18-27, 2019 in Detroit. Vanessa Pham and Jonathan Rogers will be competing in Juvenile Dance.
