Houston will celebrate two of its favorite things — Brunch and Beyoncé — together this weekend.

In honor of Beyoncé releasing, “RENAISSANCE: A FILM BY BEYONCÉ” in theaters, Union Kitchen, a Houston-area chain, will have a special Beyoncé-themed brunch exclusively on Dec. 2.

The founder of Gr8 Plate Hospitality that makes up the Union Kitchen, Paul Miller, said that the themed brunch was a great fit for the restaurants.

"Beyoncé released her movie today and her being from Houston, we just thought it was a perfect fit. A lot of my staff loves her music and you know they love everything about the Renaissance tour," he said. "So, it’s just kind of kind of a natural fit for us."

Chef James Lundy and his team have curated a brunch menu inspired by the "Single Ladies" singer's career and life. In their menus they tried to incorporate terminology from Queen Bey and her fans, Miller said.

The restaurants will have cocktails named after, "Destiny's Child," "Queen Bey" and "The Beyhive" and food options such as "The Blue Ivy," "The Disco Cakes," and "The Heated," among other menu items.

Anyone who has been to Union Kitchen before will get their favorite menu items with a twist for the themed brunch, Miller said.

"Everything that we came up with for this brunch is a riff on something that we do, so there’s a little bit of a curveball to it," he said.

Union Kitchen locations at Memorial, Oak Forest, Cypress, Katy and Kingwood would all include dishes and cocktails influenced by the Houston native singer-songwriter.

Reservations are recommended for this culinary experience and fans can expect Beyoncé-friendly swag and music at each location. The Beyhive should also be on the lookout for a few surprises at each location.

The “RENAISSANCE” film will take moviegoers on a journey from opening night in Stockholm, Sweden, to the grand finale in Kansas City. The trailer for the movie shows behind-the-scenes of the “Lemonade” singer with her family and montages of her performance.

The movie will air on Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays, to mimic a concert-like experience, for a minimum of four weeks with multiple showtimes throughout the day.

The experience will be available in IMAX at AMC and Dolby Cinema at AMC, as well as other branded premium large format screens and local Houston theaters. Movie tickets will start at $22.

Tickets are available for purchase at BeyonceFilm.com.
