On Monday’s Houston Matters: The latest Houston Area Survey from Rice University's Kinder Institute for Urban Research is being revealed at a luncheon today. It's the nation's longest-running study of any metropolitan area's economy, population, life experiences, beliefs, and attitudes. We talk with sociologist Dr. Stephen Klineberg, the survey's author and the founding director of the institute, about this year's findings.

Also this hour: Veterinarian Dr. Lori Teller answers your pet care questions. And Jeff Balke joins us to discuss the latest developments in Houston sports.
