On Thursday’s Houston Matters: Eight of the 20 declared Democratic presidential candidates descended on Houston Wednesday to make their case to women of color, a key demographic for the party, at the She The People Presidential Forum. News 88.7's politics and government reporter Andrew Schneider was there and lets us know what the candidates had to say.

Also this hour: The Netflix film The Highwaymen tells the story of the Texas Rangers who helped take down famed Depression-era bandits Bonnie Parker and Clyde Barrow. In the latest installment of our monthly movie segment, The Bigger Picture, we examine how that movie and the 1967 film Bonnie and Clyde tackle celebrity, crime, and Texas history.

And we meet Galveston house renovators Michael and Ashley Cordray, the stars of a new show on the DIY Network called Big Texas Fix.
